Water in Mining – Multiple Values of Water, 2006
In consultation with organisers Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and committee members from Sinclair Knight Merz and the Centre for Water in the Minerals Industry, we promoted new research and technology presented at the 3-day Water in Mining conference.
Highlight
We produced a public event, ‘Should a booming industry be more concerned about the environment?’, with Bernie Hobbs (ABC’s New Inventors) as MC.
The outcome: National and international coverage of new research, technology and initiatives in international mining. This includes a news story on national Channel 10 news and articles in the local newspaper, The Courier-Mail, and in mining and water industry journals.
