Keep the accuracy of your science as you get your message out to the media, in a way that also suits the media. Pitch your story easily to the media or other public audience, and adapt it to suit. Confidently do media interviews and know how to handle difficult questions.

Join Econnect Communication’s Talking Science with the Media workshop, run online over 2 half days.

We have been running media skills workshops specially designed for scientists and those involved with science for 34 years. For the past 5 years we have run them online with a series of short sessions held over two days.

This workshop will help you feel comfortable with the media, give you insights into why they look for the stories they do, and have control over your media appearances.

You can expect:

    • tailored content from your registration survey
    • workshopping the pitch for your story
    • individual TV, radio, online/newspaper interviews
    • immediate feedback from the journalist and presenter after each interview
    • working journalist panels and question time about each type of media
    • social media tips
    • digital copies of your interviews and feedback
    • a professional development certificate.
