What constitutes extreme weather for an animal? ECOS

What we did

3 days over 40 degrees is enough to make a flying fox fall out of the trees, dead.

Our story, entitled Paris, truffles and extreme weather – it’s all relative, describes research to understand what constitutes an extreme weather event for an animal.

We interviewed the 2 researchers, wrote the story, sourced images, copyedited the story and sought approvals.

The story was published in CSIRO’s ECOS blog in December 2015.
