Overview

Our workshop is designed to help natural resource managers, scientists or science communicators to plan and implement communication about research or resource management projects.

The workshop uses a simple 7-step framework to assist you to plan effective communication. It includes a mixture of presentations, discussions, case studies and communication skills development exercises.

The workshop is tailored to your group or organisation’s communication needs. This will reflect pre-workshop consultation with workshop participants, conducted by Econnect in liaison with relevant managers in your group or organisation.

Where relevant, key partners will be involved in one of the workshop sessions to assist with understanding communication management processes.

This workshop is based on principles of natural resources communication, developed over 20 years of working in natural resources communication. These principles have been embedded in a 7-step communication planning process.

The workshop will help you to:
