Much like Evan Dando of the Lemonheads, I lied about being the outdoor type. Not really, but sometimes it feels a bit like that as the newest member of the all-biking, all-climbing, all-sailing team of globetrotters at Econnect.

My interests are a little more cosy by comparison: music, gaming, reading, and of course writing. I graduated in 2007 with a Master's degree from the Writing, Editing, and Publishing program at The University of Queensland.

Working as a writer/editor at Econnect is nothing like the Friday night graveyard shifts I used to work as a DJ at ZZZ fm, but it has its own advantages—like a window, and daylight during working hours.

I've been accused of being a bit of a music snob, so hopefully some of my good taste will rub off on my workmates. Apparently I missed karaoke night on the Econnect veranda early in 2008.

I'm also a bit of a self-confessed computer geek. I believe that videogames will some day surpass the novel as an art form, I met my girlfriend on the internet and like to tease Mac users for their propensity to wear turtlenecks. Though Melanie assures me she doesn't own any. Anymore.
